At Winter X Games 2011, then-19-year-old Seb Toutant became the first male rookie to win SBD Slopestyle since Travis Rice in 2002. The young Canadian posted a 97 during the Elimination round, the highest score ever awarded in WX Slopestyle (male or female, Snowboard or Skiing).     “It was just f**king amazing to be a part of what just happened tonight,” said Torstein Horgmo, a gold X Games medal dangling from his neck, and still slightly winded after the 18-minute jam session Big Air final. Trailing Oakley teammates Stale Sandbech and defending gold medalist Mark McMorris throughout the final, Horgmo – who won the event in 2011 – had one last chance to land the move he believed would be the difference-maker: the switch backside triple cork 1440, a trick he landed for the first time a week before coming to Aspen and one that had never been landed in competition.

    On a snowy weekend in Breckenridge, Colo., Dew Tour competition began with an Oakley athlete atop the podium and ended with the same. Over the course of the five-day gathering of the world’s best snowboarders and freeskiers, an Oakley athlete flipped and flew their way onto the podium in 8 of the 10 events.
